Abbey Reviews (6-25-98):
This one is an enduring classic! The variations run from 'you-won't-sit-still' jigs to lyric traditional ballads sung with exquisite vocals. The music displays unparalleled musicianship and mixing. 'Donal Agus Morag' by Altan is enough to lift you to heaven: reminiscent of the best of Anya, the depths of the soul are stirred. Don't miss 'Tribute to Peador O'Donnell', an acapella piece for two female voices. In it, the rhythm is impeccable, like nothing you've ever heard. And, yes, there are some delightful harp pieces. 'Celtic Oddysey', though a patchwork of different artists, is dynamical arranged for treating the ear, and is an exciting compilation of the best of modern Celtic music.
